About Us

Bereaved Parents’ Support Organisations Network

We are a network of professional organisations that are willing to work together to encourage mutual learning and improve the support available to bereaved parents in the UK.
The idea for BPSON came about in June 2010 at a national networking conference facilitated by the Child Bereavement Charity and the Laura Trust.

BBOTfb5 This conference held for individuals and organisations working with bereaved parents resulted in a national initiative to provide a continuing network through the formation of a steering committee.

BPSON’s inaugural meeting took place in December 2010, deciding our Aims and Beliefs statement and an agreement to facilitate an annual networking day for all those working with bereaved parents.
We currently run conferences and networking events to facilitate this and improve the services we offer, as well as providing relevant information to our members.

Our events are open to all professionals and volunteers in the UK who are providing support to parents whose son or daughter has died.
